    Choosing the right system

You might be surfing the website right now wondering, “Which system should I buy?” There are so many tracking systems options out there, which one do I choose? Apparently, all the tracking systems use satellite tracking and GSM for communication. All of them can track a vehicle via a phone app. So why is there such a large price difference? Why are some companies asking for RM 2,500 for a tracking system when another company asks for RM 900?

As a consumer, sometimes it’s more difficult to make a decision when there are too many choices. But the answer is really simple, focus on what you want and ask how each service provider will meet those needs.

    Asking the right questions

When you enquire on a product, its best to know what you want from the tracking system. Sometime, we as a consumer get lost comparing technical specifications that we forget about our needs. Many of the clients we had the pleasure of serving may start talking about product specification and price compared to another system they saw on the internet. But after 10 minutes into the conversation, the discussion shifts from product specifications to what’s real to them. And here are the top 5 questions:

    1. If my car is stolen, can I expect to get it back?

    2. Hijacking is real in Malaysia. How does your product make me feel safe?

    3. Is your product worth paying RM 2,500

If my car is stolen, can I expect to get it back?

At CAPTOR we have an 80% success record for recovering stolen vehicles. Yes, we don’t recover every car, but we try our best in every case. For the 80% that we do recover, the key to our success are our RF technology which allows us to track a vehicle without GPS or GSM network within the short range of our recovery teams and our experienced and dedicated recovery teams who collaborate closely with the police.

Hijacking is real in Malaysia. How does your product make me feel safe?

It’s probably no surprise to you to learn that Malaysia is ranked top 10 in vehicle theft in the world. theStar : (Malaysia) No.6 on the world's top car theft list and hijacking is very common in Malaysia. Anyone armed with a small knife can steal a RM 300,000 car. At CAPTOR, all our systems are discrete. Our clients don’t carry any driver identification tag or remote controller. The reason is so that in event of a hijack, you can tell the hijacker you don’t have a system and there is nothing on you to prove otherwise. Once your vehicle is taken from you, call our 24 hour Command Center and report the theft. Learn more about steps to take during and after a hijack. If a theft is detected and we suspect the driver is held inside the vehicle, we have protocols in place to prioritise the safety of the driver over the vehicle. Learn more from a true story

Is your product worth paying RM 2,500?

How many times have you bought something that didn’t last, or the company closed down, or there was no product support, or the service provider didn’t do what they promised? Is there any advantage in technology? Well here are the answers:

    1. Our latest product, CAPTOR StarDrive is manufactured to automotive specification ISO: TS16949. We have the highest standards in Malaysia. The only other product is Cobra Connex. The rest are not. What does this mean to you? It means, our products are made from the highest quality and they last. Because we confident on our quality, we offer our clients a 3 year unlimited kilometer product warranty.

    2. Our company has been operating since 2001. We just celebrated 15 years serving our clients.

    3. In terms of product support and honouring our services, our strong consistency in this area is a key reason Allianz General Insurance Malaysia, the largest general insurer in Malaysia partnered us in 2004 and until today, offer our service to their policyholders.

    4. Technology does play a part when it comes to stolen vehicle recovery. Our RF tracking technology is a key reason our recovery success rate is so high. It is resistant to GPS and GSM jamming and has successfully recovered vehicle hidden in containers.

    5. You are getting 2 tracking systems when you buy a CAPTOR StarDrive; RF plus GPS/GSM
